I think we've finally found the ob/gy to deliver our baby!! 


Met Dr Paul Tseng (the first male gynea I've ever consulted!) last Thursday and we're both very comfortable with him.
Dr Tseng is well-known for being pro-natural and anti-episiotomy. Although I've always wanted natural tearing, so many of my girlfriends warned me otherwise, citing 3rd degree tears and zig-zagged wounds. So I asked Dr Tseng if he'll perform an episiotomy on me if I requested for one, and he said he'll encourage me not to. He continued sharing with us how unnecessary and unnatural this form of invasive surgery is, and how much longer it'll take for the mother to heal. What is even more assuring is that he has no need to perform an episiotomy for the past 6 years and none of his patients ever had 3rd degree tears. Dave and I are convinced. We had a more accurate EDD, and baby is due 31 March 2009! The most exciting part was hearing it's heartbeat for the first time!!! Simply amazing; so much life in this tiny little kidney bean!

news at home

Met up with Linda recently when she was in Singapore....
She's now almost 5months pregnant!!! :)
We found a really nice place for dinner at the Stardus clubhouse, called Brown Sugar! For a clubhouse restaurant, the food, service and ambience was just perfect. What a hidden gem!

The fanciest steamboat. ever!

We had a mini get-together at home on the Sunday we returned from Bintan! Sio Huey was so kind to prepare E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G so we could have this undoubtedly fanciest steamboat bbq, together with Roger & Pepe, and Tina.

Bintan getaway

Roger and Pepe spent the whole week of 28th July in Bintan, and we joined them for the weekend. Super relaxing, with lots of sun and swimming. Pepe even picked up swimming during his time there! As for us adults.... we learned something new as well. Did you know that Bintang beer is not a product from Bintan? Well, it's manufactured in Indonesia, Jakarta to be exact.... but no... not Bintan's beer.... ah-ha.... and we always thought we've gotta drink Bintang beer when in Bintan. The taxi driver who drove us to Oleh-Oleh told us that 'Bintang' just means 'Star'... yeap... Star Beer!

having friends over...

Have not been blogging for a long time; been really tired for afew weeks now. 


Roger and Pepe spent their summer vacation with us from 16July till 4Aug.... and it had been lots of activities and food for the past 3 weeks.

Below are some highlights!

For their first meal in Singapore when they touched down... we brought them for dimsum at Red Star. Food may not be the best, but we liked the traditional push-cart system!
There was a weekend we took the Singapore Flyer... it was our first time too... and it was totally worth it cus there was a full-dress rehearsal for the National Day celebrations.... what a sight we had up there!
And then there was the fabulous japanese dinner at Hakata. Pepe went crazy over the sashimi... so did all of us!

Some nights like this one was for eating in....
We even walked the Henderson Waves.... pretty nice!
We spent last weekend at Bintan, which I'll blog about in a separate entry. Plus the fancy steamboat and bbq we had with friends when we got back! Oh.... and there was a boat trip out as well...

Did the Shape Run last Sunday... 

No personal best to brag about... in fact... it was a personal worse!!!
Completed 10km in 58m11s... a far cry from last year's Std Char Run of 56min17s.

an old friend

Collected my Shape Run runner's pack yesterday!! Love the neon green Nike tee.... I've already gotten the shorts to match it! Well, I don't think it really matches.... but at least that was what the model for the Shape run was wearing!!! I bet there'll be many who'll be in the exact same shorts! Kekekeke;)


Also managed to meet up an old friend yesterday. Kiran's possibly the oldest friend I have; we've been classmates and school mates from high school all through college. She's now Australian PR so it's just amazing we're still in touch, and will always make an effort to meet up whenever she's back for the hols.

charming little place at Dempsey...

Had brunch at a cozy little place called Karma Kettle & Raspsody in Tanglin Village last Saturday. It's opened by 2 Indians but the food is basically english-indian fusion. This place has apparently been around for awhile, the first branch being at Cluny Court... but I only recently chanced upon it while reading online food reviews (another one of my hobbies... hah hah)! What a gem! My only complaint is the aircon could do a better job.
