There was a recent writeup on a new cafe which was supposed to be managed by Singapore's top barista. That of course caught our attention and we paid Oriole a visit last weekend.
During one of my pre-delivery outings recently, I had yummy yakiniku for lunch at Ao-Chan in Concorde Hotel (formerly Le Meridien) with my yoga mates! My first time there, and it was soooooo good! This restaurant is tucked away at the shopping mall side of Concorde hotel and has been around for more than 8 years with quite a following of Japanese!!! I'm surprised I've not heard of this place!
Saw Dr Tseng on Monday for the 34th week checkup.
It's been almost 9 years since we've visited Fort Canning... and that was during our ROM, when signing papers at the ROM itself was still quite IN! Hah hah! This time, we decided we should have a nice and quiet (which may be impossible for many years to come!) Valentine's Day meal at Flutes at the Fort. The restaurant is housed in an old black and white colonial bungalow at one end of the Fort Canning Park; it's ambience was perfect.
Met up with an old college mate on Friday! V's back in town for a month with a baggage that's 90% not hers! I feel bad cus I only just realised how heavy the baby's books I got her to bring back really were!! Thanks gal!
As I enter the 8th month of my pregnancy, I can't help but feel slightly anxious about labour pains. Am having some dreams about it too. Am I being silly about not wanting to opt for epidural? Will the whole experience be too traumatic? Will baby be too big to come out of me? Will I tear badly? STOP IT! Positive thoughts please!
While everyone was supposed to be back to work, Dave was still enjoying the Lunar break; he took the week off, and invited his team over for dinner on Thursday evening.
I've never knew of the '4 Heavenly Chefs' until my father-in-law suggested Dragon Phoenix for a reunion lunch before Belinda and Ah-Aun returns to China. In fact, it was these 4 chefs who created the Yusheng dish that we've all come to associate with Lunar New Year!
